Brown Phillip Keith Brown, 65, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Phillip was a long-time resident of Prague, Oklahoma.

Phillip was born on August 26, 1958, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Johnny Thomas and Joyce Inez (Turley) Brown. He attended school in Okmulgee, graduating from Okmulgee High School in 1976. After graduating, Phillip worked on a rig in the oil field for several years. He was a crane operator at Shawnee Lighting Systems from 1995 until his retirement in 2017.

Phillip married Linda Sue Payne on June 23, 1995, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Phillip was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Prague. He was baptized by Brother Tim Emmons in 1999.

Phillip loved to fish and hunt. His love of fishing led him to start building and selling custom fishing rods. You could often find him fishing off the dam. First and foremost, Phillip loved his wife and family. His family said he had a nickname for everyone. He enjoyed calling everyone bright and early every Christmas morning and even played Santa Clause one year.

Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Thomas Brown; a brother, Tommy Dewayne Brown, and his son, Johnny Lee Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Linda Brown; his mother, Joyce Brown; sisters, Peggy Williams and her husband, Leslie, Teresa Conatser and her husband, Harley, and Carol Lynn Causey and her husband, Kerry; step-son, John Payne and his wife, Sonya; granddaughters, Kimber Smith and Haley Izod; several nieces and nephews; other family members, and friends.

Services for Phillip will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at First Baptist Church, Prague, Oklahoma. Condolences can be expressed at www. parksbrothers.net. Services were in the care of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague, OK.
