Patricia Ann Barkhimer

Barkhimer Patricia Ann Barkhimer age 87, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024 at her home in Wewoka, Oklahoma. She was born September 29, 1937 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Water Carl Ledgerwood Mary Vivian (Squires) Ledgerwood. She married J.D. Barkhimer on September 24, 1955 in Wewoka, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Wewoka Highschool and went on to get her masters degree at ECU. She was an Elementary Teacher at New Lima Public Schools for 33 years. She loved teaching kids, reading, fishing, and jelly beans. She was very good at crappie fishing. Patricia loved her family especially her grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Mary Waltina White; and grandchild Blair Barkhimer.

Patricia is survived by her children, Annette Troglin Barnes and husband Steve of Wewoka, OK, Carol Cook and husband Clifford of Wewoka, OK, Carl Barkhimer and wife Rhonda of Wewoka, OK; 6 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Tate Mountain Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers: Grandchildren, Rodney Troglin, Ronda Morris, Jennifer Marchbanks, Jeff Cook, Blaine Barkhimer, Seth Barkhimer.
