Pamela Christine (Gulley) Patterson, age 77 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away from this life to her eternal home Monday, May 27, 2024 at her home in Konawa surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 31st at the First Baptist Church located at 129 S. Broadway in Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Rev. Heath Sapp and Rev. Winston Curtis will officiate, and burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery. Casket bearers are Mason Nunley, Jon King, Ronnie Branscum, Van Chew, Tim Coffey, and Dee Childers.

Pamela “Pam” was born February 7, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to George Truett Gulley and Francis Inez (Smith) Gulley. She made her profession of faith in Jesus Christ at the age of ten and was baptized at Britton Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. After graduating from John Marshall High School, she continued her education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater to pursue a degree in business. She was working for Metropolitan Insurance Company in Oklahoma City where she met Marvin Lee Patterson. They were married December 2, 1966 in Oklahoma City. They were blessed with two daughters, Lisa Dawn in 1969 and Memory Lee in 1971. The family moved to Konawa in 1980 to the “farm” Marvin worked for Oklahoma Department of Transportation, and Pam worked at the Konawa school administration office until 1988. She accepted a position at the Robert S. Kerr Research Lab in Ada, Oklahoma and worked 21 years until her retirement. The family joined the First Baptist Church in Konawa in 1980, and she served in different rolls there until her death. She loved her church family.

She leaves behind a loving husband, Marvin of the home; two daughters, Lisa and Memory; four grandchildren, Megan Mathers and husband, Luke of St. Helens, Oregon, Mason Nunley of Wewoka, Oklahoma, McKenzie Nunley of Wewoka, Charlee Jo Crowley of Ada; one great granddaughter, Freya Nunley of Wewoka; a precious sister, Patty Knight of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Donna Patterson of Norman, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Brad Patterson and wife, Jeannie of Blanchard, Oklahoma; along with five beautiful nieces and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Francis Gulley; brother-in-law, Raymond Knight; and brother-in-law, John Patterson.
