Mattie Keys

Mattie J. Keys of Sasakwa, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on Sunday February 2, 2020 in Holdenville. Mattie was born September 24th, 1921 in Holdenville to Bunnie Jesse and Adeline Robison Jesse Burgess.

Mattie is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Legus Red Palmer and second husband, John Keys, siblings, Timmie Jesse, Rev. George Jesse, Ben Jesse, Abe Burgess Jr., twin sister, Eliza Foster, Della Bemo, Amy Palmer and Juanita Burgess.

Mattie is survived by sister, Mary Ann Brown, son, Richard Palmer of Sasakwa, grandchildren, Tony Palmer of Sasakwa, Robin Howard of Edmond, Alanna Ta’fv Palmer of Vancouver, WA, Kellen Palmer of Tulsa, special family member, Susan Palmer of Corrales, NM and Betty Lou Hargrove of Wewoka, several nephews and nieces, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Wake service will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday February 4, 2020 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday February 5, 2020 at Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa, Ok. with Pastors Kelos Walker and Frank Moppin officiating.

Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
