Mary Reich
Mary Ellen (Woodin) Reich, passed away on December 3, 2020 in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
She was born on December 5, 1924 to Pearcy Thad and Lulu Woodin.
She attended Holdenville Schools and later New Lima High School. It was there that she made friends with Edith Reich who would walk Mary home from school.
Mary met Edith’s brother, Albert who would sing to her and the start of a long honeymoon began.
She married Albert Eugene Reich on June 20, 1942 in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
The couple had three children, Tommy, Peggy and Judy. From the moment they met, their love affair was one that would last throughout their lives. Mary and Albert were partners in life, business and love. They chose to be in love every day of their 71 years of marriage.
Mary graduated from the Reisch Auction School as an auctioneer colonel. Albert and Mary owned and operated a variety of businesses including Reich Reality, A & M Auctioneer Company, a laundromat, a donut shop, mobile home parks and sales, furniture store, and oilfield trucks.
Hosting moon parties were a favorite hobby the couple enjoyed sharing with family and friends. The house would be full of tables surrounded by family and friends enjoying a festive game.
Mary was a loving servant of the Lord. She was a kind and gentle soul.
Mary was an artist, whether it was crafts, painting, or another avenue, creativity was in her blood and she loved share her vision. This was a passion she passed along to her daughters and grandchildren; each having an artist outlet of their own. Mary encouraged and fostered that creativity in each of them.
Preceding Mary in death are her parents, husband Albert Reich, son Tommy Eugene Reich, grandsons Kelly Dean Reich and Tommy Leroy McCoy.?
She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Irwin (Chuck) of San Antonio, Texas and Judy Hillhouse Azlin (David) of Wewoka, grandsons Billy McCoy (Bekki) and Bobby McCoy, and four great-grandchildren, Garrett, Grayson, Lilly and Ella, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and family and friends.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka. Interment will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
Family ask that all in attendance wear a mask and social distance. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
