Marvin Ray Henry
Marvin Ray Henry, beloved brother, father and husband passed from this life June 29, 2019 in Seminole Hospital. He was born April 29, 1952 in Wewoka, OK to James Drew and Dosha Bell (Webb) Henry, the 7th child out of ten. He went to school in Wewoka, before going into the Army in 1970. He served his country in Viet Nam for almost a year and was honorably discharged in 1976, receiving numerous medals including expert hand grenade and marksmanship. He was always proud of his service but rarely talked about it.
Marvin married Johnnie Riddle March 5, 1976 in Wewoka, OK He worked for Seminole County for 33 years on the road crew. His hobbies were fishing, and hunting.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters Melva Jean Webber, Donna Sue Cook, and Connie McNeill; three brothers Cotton, Buck and Clayton Henry.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years Johnnie; one son that he cherished so much Tony Henry of Wewoka, OK; one grandson That he was very proud of Kaynaan Henry of Holdenville OK; one brother Sonny Henry of Holdenville, OK ; two sisters Wanda Hailey of Ada, OK and Latricia Sizemore of San Angelo, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, July 5, 2019 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tommy Azlin officiating and burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery with Military Honors.
Pall bearers will be Clay Chaney, Chris Hall, Robert Riddle, Dedrick Johnson, Craig Smith, and Jim Morrison.
Honorary pall bearers will be Rick Smart, Wendell Blanton, Clifton Taylor, Nolan Cellars, and Ed Jones.
