Leon Short

Leon Bobby Short, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma, resident passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at his home, at the age of 94. Leon was born on March 28, 1928, in Seminole, to Alvin “Bud” Oscar Short and Cora Lee (Presley) Short.

Leon is survived by his wife of 74 years, Patsy Jean (Jennings) Short; son, David Short of Seminole; daughter, Peggy Hickinbotham of Huntsville, AL; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Robert L. Short.

Leon’s graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma with Bro. Nick Atyia officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
