A memorial service for Kerrie Ann Suarez was held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah.

Kerrie Ann Suarez was born December 24, 1964 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Maeva and Kerry Baker. She passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 57.

Kerrie started school in Okemah but moved with her family to Seminole in 1972. She attended elementary school in Seminole and later graduated from Varnum High School. After high school she studied at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. In 1988, Kerrie became employed by the Department of Human Services as a case worker in Wewoka. She later became a case manager for the Department of Developmental Disabilities and retired from that department in 2021.

1988 was a busy year for Kerrie. She graduated, secured a job and met her greatest love, Lorenzo “J.R.” Suarez Jr. They were married on December 17, 1988. Kerrie and J.R. had three children: two daughters, Emily Ann Suarez Capps and Lauren Nichole Suarez; one son, Lane Everett; two grandchildren, Marlee Capps and Anthony Everett Suarez.

She is preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Emily and her father, Kerry.

She is survived by her husband, Lorenzo “J.R.” Suarez; her mother, Maeva Baker; her son, Lane and daughter, Lauren; brother, Clarke and wife Kami; sister, Claire Lemmings; two grandchildren, Marlee and Everett. As her family grew, she also extended her life and love to Marianna Mejia, Robert Capps, Madison and Jaxson Williams and Jordan Slack.

She had a special place in her heart for everyone, always saying “It Will Be OK”!

Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, OK.
