Rains Kenneth Don “Kenny” Rains, age 62 and a resident of Jan Francis in Ada, Oklahoma, and a former resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away July 24, 2024 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. July 31, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel of Konawa, Oklahoma. Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Kenny was born June 20, 1962 in Ada, Oklahoma to Don Rains and Judy (Glover) Rains. He was a graduate of Konawa High School, and served in the U.S. Army from 1988 until 1992. He worked as an industrial carpenter, and he help to build the set for the movie, “Twister” in 1996.

He is survived by one son, Chris Rains and wife, Jennifer of Republic, Missouri; one daughter, Gigli Rains and Montrell of Midwest City, Oklahoma; one daughter- in-law, Amie Raines of Ava, Missouri; one brother, Jason Rains and wife, Shannon of Ada, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Kelsey, Macie, Dylan, Gia, Montrell, Jr., and Milani; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Judy Rains, and one son, Jeremy.
