June Billie
June Lee Billie, 68, longtime Seminole County, Oklahoma resident, passed away February 2, 2020 at her home in Seminole.
She was born July 13, 1951 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to parents Louis Chupco and Juanita (Buck) Chupco.
She was a high school graduate and a member of the Creek Nation of Oklahoma.
She married Lester Billie, Sr. on September 18, 1971 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. She worked as the Incumbrance Clerk at Butner Schools for 30 years.
June was a member of the Wewoka Indian Baptist Church. She was a seamstress and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. June was always happy and enjoyed life. She loved all her family. She would always offer you food or drink when you visited. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
June is survived by her sons; Lester Billie, Jr. and Tamara Bighead of Seminole, Oklahoma and Todd Matchie and Kristina of Konawa, Oklahoma , brothers; Terry Chupco of Tecumseh, Oklahoma and Joe Chupco of Seminole, Oklahoma, sisters; Wanda Fox of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Shirley Proctor of Newport News, Virginia, DeAnn Pierce of Moore, Oklahoma and Dorothy Chupco of Shawnee, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Zachary Billie and Skylar, Nicholas Billie and Remi Haskins, Tiara Billie, Christopher, Christian and Jaylyn Matchie and Adalene and Aysul Lofton and great grandchild; Braylon Billie. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Ricky and David Chupco and daughter; Saundra Billie.
Wake services for June will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Thomas Billie, Jr. and Kevin Fox officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Lester Billie, Jr., Todd Matchie, Zachary Billie, Nicholas Billie, Christopher Matchie, Christian Matchie and Jaylyn Matchie.
Honorary Bearers will be Terry Chupco, Joe Chupco, Tristan Melear, Colton Cotterman, Patrick Fox and Salyer Billie.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
