Johnny “John” Ray Meek

Meek Johnny “John” Ray Meek, Seminole, OK resident, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at his home at the age of 80. John was born on June 15, 1944 in Seminole to Virgil Johnny Meek and Agnes Florene (Pixley) Meek. He grew up in Seminole and spent most of his life in this area.

John is survived by his wife, Ruby Meek of the home; two daughters, Belinda Thoma and husband, Larry of Elgin, OK and Becky Bristow and husband, Sam of Seminole; seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and many other family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Charlotte Stallings and Virginia Driskill.

Viewing will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK. The Meek family will receive family and friends for visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK with Rev. Michael Tom and Rev. Larry Thoma officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, OK. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
