Robertson Jimmy “Jim” Mack Robertson, Oklahoma City, OK resident, passed away on Sunday June 23, 2024 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 85. Jim was born on September 1, 1938 in Seminole, OK to Bross and Marie (Quinalty) Robertson.

Jim was the oldest of the family and always set a good example for his siblings. He was proud to be a Boy Scout and to earn his Eagle badge. He graduated from East Central University with his Bachelors degree in Engineering which he applied to his career at Wolverine Tube in Shawnee, OK. Jim married Carole Cummings and she preceded him in death. He worked with Carole and her dad at the sign shop in Seminole, OK and helped to run it for many years after Mr. Cummings passed. He served in the Oklahoma National Guard and Army Reserves. Jim married Karen Jarolim on June 21, 1991 in Oklahoma City. Jim was a member of First United Methodist Church in Seminole, OK. He was instrumental in helping to get the skate park built in Seminole.

Jim is survived by his wife, Karen of Oklahoma City; brothers, John Robertson of Seminole, OK and Tommy Robertson of Celina, TX; sisters, Patricia Friend of Warsaw, MO, Susan Bailey of Rogers, AR and Marsheila May of Norman, OK; numerous nieces and nephews; members of Karen’s family who have grown to love Jim and helped him in every way they could and many other family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Bross and Marie Robertson; his infant twin; his sister, Vicki Armstrong and his first wife, Carole.

Jim’s family would like to say a special thank you to the compassionate care from everyone at Integris Hospice House. The staff’s kindness and respect was deeply appreciated.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024 at First United Methodist Church in Seminole, OK. Rev. Charles King will be officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
