Jesse Edward Power, 86, went to heaven on March 26, 2022, at home in Shawnee, OK. He was born April 13, 1935 in Blythe, CA.
He was a special man to many people: husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, pastor, and friend. Jesse was a Pastor for over 43 years and owned Power Concrete.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Sharon Marcine (Whitaker) Power; his parents Jess and Zella (McCann) Power; 2 sisters, Lucille Duncan and Jervine Reynolds; and 3 brothers, George W. Power, LaVerne Power, and Jimmy Don Power.
He is survived by his wife Mary Carr , Shawnee OK; 2 sons Kenneth and wife Stacy Power, Tishomingo OK, Bruce and wife Lynn Power, Edmond OK; 2 daughters, Debra Denise and husband Frank Holson, Panama OK, and Susan and husband Dobie Welcher, Okemah OK; one sister, Ruth Bills; 8 grandchildren; Samantha and Zack Pinnick, Bells TX, Kyle and Kayla Power, Francis OK; Debra Diane Holson, Panama OK; Michelle and Scott Hessman, Paden OK; Summer and David Smith, Norman OK; Rachael and Adam Cooper, Okemah OK; Markie and Lloyd Carlock, Prague OK; Daryl Chowning, OKC OK; 18 great grandchildren: Faith, Lily, Taylor, and Austin Pinnick; Konnor and Kimber Power; Damon Hessman, R.J. and Jesse Watts; Kyler, Kaden, Kalei, and Keira Smith, and Maddie Duke; Peyton Cooper; Emery, Everleigh Carlock, and Damyn Chowning.
To honor his wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service at this time.
