Jerone Spicer, age 89, of Asher, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in Oklahoma City.

He was born August 6, 1931 to George and Esther (Ogle) Spicer in St. Louis, Oklahoma.

Jerone was raised in St. Louis, Oklahoma and attended St. Louis Public Schools.

He graduated with the class of 1950 from St. Louis High School.

He was a lifelong resident of the St. Louis area.

Jerone married Christena “Kookie” Morrell on February 15, 1951 in Nicoma Park, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on December 2, 2005.

He was the owner and operator of Spicer Productions.

Jerone loved ranching, tractors and going on trips with his wife, “Kookie”.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his daughter, Tena Houser; 4 brothers, Jim, Garland, Junior and Veldon Spicer; 6 sisters, Evelyn Butler, Pauline Ryan, Deloris Kowalski, Claudette Cobb, Alice Martindale and Jean Watson.

Those left to cherish his memory are 2 daughters and 3 sons-in-law, Jimmee and Virgil Mangus of Wellston, OK, Jan and Tom Harman of Tupelo, OK and son-in-law, Boyd Houser of Tishomingo, OK; 3 sons, Jerone “Buck” Spicer of Macomb, OK, Jeff and Connie Spicer of St. Louis, OK and Toby and Brenda Spicer of Noble, OK; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 2 sisters and 1 brother-in-law, Linda and Leon Steffes of Bridge Creek, OK and Patsy Strayhorn of Bowlegs, OK; 1 sister-in-law, Sharon Spicer of St. Louis, OK; 1 brother-in-law, Tony Kowalski of Roscommon, MI; and many other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2020 and continue through service time.

Service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 14, 2020 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Erick Henson, Tecumseh Highland Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Louis, OK under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
