Jeannie Renda (Blocker) Jones
Jones Jeannie Renda (Blocker) Jones life-long Seminole resident passed from this earthly home on September 14, 2024 at OU medical center surrounded by her loving family and friends. Jeannie was born July 21, 1981 to Travis Blocker and Bertha Lindsay Deere in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Jeannie was a member of Muscogee Creek Nation. She attended Varnum schools. Jeannie was known for her big beautiful smile; she knew how to light up a room and there was never a dull moment with her. Jeannie loved to spend time with her kids and grandkids. She was saved at church camp as a child and baptized at Johnson church in Johnson, Oklahoma. Jeannie loved listening to slow jams and driving around singing with her kids on Sunday nights. One of her strongest traits was her humbleness. She would give you her last when she didn’t have it.
Jeannie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Lvm’he Kenon Ryan Jones of Seminole, OK; five children, Jaelin Jones of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Danielle, Mark, Elijah Jones and Joselyn Phillips of Seminole, Oklahoma, Princess Taya Jones of the home; three grandchildren, Nazanin, Nizier and Abram Cole; four sisters, Taiwanna and Joe Mcgirt, Carly and Kevin Fox, Crystal and Randy Snyder and Renda Blocker; five brothers, Charles and Sallie Deere, Larry Deere, Tobias, Jessie and Tony Blocker; four aunts, Augustine Lindsay, Kathy Blocker, and Debbie Proctor, and Debbie Mitchell; two uncles, Jimmy and Peggie Lindsay and John King; her in-laws, who were more like parents, Mark and Tammy Jones; two brothers-in-law, Culv and Dakota Jones; one sister- in-law, Tammy Talamasey; one very faithful longtime friend, Aeris Davis; 22 nieces; 21 nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Jeannie is preceded in death by one grandson, Zaiden Cole; her parents, Travis Blocker and Bertha Deere; maternal grandparents, Willie and Lizzie (Coody) Lindsay; one brother; two sisters; eight uncles and one aunt.
Jeannie will be taken to the family home on Tuesday ,September 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm to 12385 NS 3510 Rd Seminole, Oklahoma 74868 following with a home service at 7:00pm.
A wake service will be held on Wednesday September 25, 2024 from 5-7pm at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK with Rev. Kevin Fox and Rev. Houston Tiger officiating. Interment will follow at Kernell Family cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Elijah Jones, Mark Jones, Beau Lindsay, Culv Jones, Justin Lena, Anthony Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Fox, Elliot Jones, Justin Clark, Tommy Bighead, Mel Lena, and Nathan Harjo, Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
