Jay Levy

Surrounded by his family, Jay Leonard Levy, 65, passed away November 16.  Jay leaves behind a long legacy of community service, generosity, and a love of family.

Jay was born in Seminole, OK and eventually settled in Tulsa, OK.  

He graduated from Memorial High School, and The University of Oklahoma, where he met his beloved wife Mindy. Jay was known for quietly helping those in need. He always donated school supplies, socks, coats, or anything anyone ever needed.

His business achievements started in 1976, when he joined his grandfather’s company, Moran Pipe and Supply. He stayed in the oil and gas industry until the early 90’s when he entered the bar business. Jay moved his family from Seminole, OK to Atlanta, GA where he began a new chapter at 40 years old. This new life later took him to Greenville, SC where he began what became his final chapter. He and his business partner, Lee Sutherlin started The Trophy Clubs in Greenville and Florence, SC, and Asheville, NC.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Levy. He is survived by his loving wife, Mindy; his mother, Iris Levy Androphy;  two children, Adam (Keely Tongate) Levy, Jennifer (David) Block. His three, adored, and beloved grandchildren Clio Levy-Tongate, Connor Jacob Block and Caroline Mae Block, and his brothers, Marc Robert Levy and Paul Martin Levy.

The service will be at Beth Israel Synagogue on Monday, November 18 at 1:30 p.m., followed by burial in the Beth Israel Cemetery.
