Freda Proctor

Freda (Cathey) Proctor, age 78, passed away at her home in Norman, Oklahoma on January 2, 2020. Freda was born June 12, 1941 in Illinois to parents Fred Jones Cathey and Ethel (Dillon) Sanford.

She was raised in Seminole, Oklahoma and had been a resident of Norman since 1973.

Freda is survived by her daughter; Melissa Proctor of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, grandson; Ryan Reese and brother Bill Cathey and his wife Barbara of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her father; Fred Cathey, her mother; Ethel Sanford and her son; David Proctor.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Maple Grove Cemetery, 1000 West Strother Avenue in Seminole, Oklahoma where she will be laid to rest next to her son David.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
