Edgell Seminole resident, Frances Edgell, 57, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024, in Oklahoma City.

Frances, the daughter of Willie and Joyce (Meeks) Hammack, was born October 9, 1967, in Waynesboro, Tennessee. Frances attended the University of Arkansas; she received her CNA license while working at Rolling Hills Nursing Home in Arkansas. On February 14, 1985, Frances married the love of her life, Walter Edgell, at the Pentecostal Church of God in Seminole. She loved to crochet, she enjoyed art, fishing, shopping with her daughters, traveling, grabbing a Coke from Sonic with her sister, Lisa, and keeping her husband on his toes. Frances was a huge fan of Elvis, and she loved teaching her granddaughters her favorite pastime, crocheting. She was always ready for a trip to the Sonic, and she loved to cook, but nothing was as important to her as time spent with her family. Frances was a cherished wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friends, she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Hammack; and a brother, Anthony Hammack.

Frances is survived by her husband, Walter, of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Starsha Simon and Elbert, of Seminole, December Edgell, of Seminole, and Noami Mason and Jarod, of Prague; seven grandchildren, Charlie Simon, Desha Lusher, Conner Simor, Elaina Lusher, Susie Simon, Alivia Lusher, and anticipated granddaughter-in-law, Anna Lyons; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David Hammack and Cindy, of Shawnee, and Elvis Hammack and Amber, of Floral Arkansas; two sisters, Lisa Self, of Bowlegs, and Joy Hammack, of Floral, Arkansas, and sister-inlaw, Becky Hammack, of Maud; along with many other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Elbert Simon, Jarod Mason, Conner Simor, Charlie Simon, Marcus Edgell and Tony Edgell.

Services will be Monday, December 16, at 10:00 A.M., at Swearingen Funeral Home, in Seminole, with interment to follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
