    Brooks Elizabeth Brooks passed away Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025 at her home in Wetumka, Oklahoma at the age of 81.

    Elizabeth was born June 5th, 1943 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Woodrow W.T. Anson Sr. and Ella Irene (Dunagan) Anson. Elizabeth graduated from New Lima public school. Elizabeth was a Banking Assistant in the banking industry. She worked at the First National Bank until they became Security State Bank in Wewoka. Elizabeth worked for them approximately 38 years. She was a hard worker her entire life but always enjoyed staying busy. She was a true admirer and lover of nature. She enjoyed fishing and hunting. You never really knew if she’d be carrying a rifle, a fishing pole, or even a crossbow. It probably wasn’t a good idea to purposefully sneak up on, and startle her. This was what she truly loved doing and continued doing, until her health problems became an obstacle.

    Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, baby daughter, siblings; Phyllis Ann Barrett, Woodrow W.T. Anson Jr., David Harold Anson, and Joseph Jasper Anson. She is survived by her daughter Betty Petitpas of Powderly, TX, granddaughter Ashley Elizabeth McClure of Powderly, TX, great grandchild Connor McClure of Powderly, TX, brother Charles Anson and wife Debbie of Seminole, OK. Elizabeth is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

    Viewing will be 1pm to 7pm, Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.

    Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2025 at Wetumka Cemetery, Wetumka, Oklahoma.

    Interment will follow at Wetumka Cemetery.

    Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
