Elaine Fuller
Elaine Joyce Fuller was the 2nd born twin of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Fuller, born in Oakland, CA on February 21, 1951. She left this world in a state of peace surrounded by her loving family on March 30, 2024.
Elaine attended school in Wewoka, OK at Douglas Elementary and middle school gaining a rich education and foundation for life. She graduated after the integration of schools from Wewoka High School. She received her collegiate education at East Central University in Ada, OK. Elaine accepted Christ at an early age and remained a faithful member of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Wewoka, OK. Where she was crowned “Mother Fuller” while serving as mother of the church until her health declined early this year.
Elaine Joyce Fuller was a provider for her family! Elaine trusted and knew God as her provider, but she was not afraid to work hard and make things happen. Not just for her kids, but her mother, siblings, nieces and nephews and anyone else that needed assistance. Elaine worked for Big Yank jean factory in Wewoka for many years until it’s closure. When Big Yank closed Elaine went to work for Mobile Exxon until she experienced a hardship from an on job injury, at which time she made the decision to go back to school and decided she would enter the field of Business Administration receiving her training at Wes Watkins Vo-Tech. After completion of her studies, Elaine decided to relocate her family to Norman, OK, and took a position with one of the largest banks in OKC at the time, Boatmen’s Bank in the historic downtown First National Building. This work experience opened her eyes to a whole new environment, of which she didn’t waste any time getting to know as much in the field of land management and office administration. She worked dutifully until her mother’s health began to decline, at which time she returned to be close and oversee her mother’s daily needs. Elaine went to work for Huser, Huser & Lively serving as Mr. Lively’s legal assistant for over fifteen years. Elaine’s last place of employment was the joy and highlight of her servant hood. THE BOWLEGS PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM!!!! She prided herself on providing a quality, nutritious and tasty meal to the students and faculty members alike, but most of all she looked forward to hugging everyone who came through the line and lifting their spirits with her infectious smile. They were truly recognized as her family.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Fuller and Louise Fuller, her twin brother Jerry Fuller, her older brothers John Douglas Bruner and Howard Hutchinson.
Left to cherish her memory: Her daughter Tahasha (Von) Wilcots, her son Quincy Chandler (Kecia), Grandchildren: Akia, Ashley and Isaiah (Emily); Great Grandchildren: Amari, Tristan and Ivy. Her sisters Shirley Walker of Georgia and Jacki Brison of Oklahoma City, OK. She had two special sons that she claimed as her own, Gregory (Trina) Beavers Sr. and Steven (Debbie) Graham. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, bonus children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved her dearly and she gave her love to in their own individual way, too many to count or list, but their memories are just as important!
