Douglas Jay McCabe Sr, 89, of Mesa AZ passed a w a y on June 17,2020.
He was born December 21, 1930 in Dallas TX to Edward D and Leone (Olson) McCabe.
Doug married Prudie Mae Ramage on August 22, 1952 in Seminole OK.
They had two children who survive them, son Douglas Jr (Sharon) McCabe and daughter Melody (Doug) Laubach.
He also leaves behind three grandsons Chris and Matt McCabe and Travis Laubach, four great grandchildren, a greatgreat grandson, four sisters-in-law Edna Hudson and Sheila (Bob) Lanning, Bettie McCabe and Kay McCabe, several nieces and nephews, and his dog Emily.
Doug was preceded in death by his wife Prudie, his parents, stepfather Charles Wilburn, and brothers Edward McCabe III, and Donald Swan McCabe.
Doug is a graduate of Seminole High School and East Central State College (Ada OK).
He served in the US Army in 1952 through 1954.
Doug worked for the Federal Aviation Administration at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix AZ for over 30 years, retiring in 1990.
He enjoyed woodworking, and genealogy.
He loved helping others and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
