Doris Bryan

Doris Lee Griffin-Bryan departed this life on July 5, 2022, at the age of 78.

She was born June 21, 1944, in Jesse, Oklahoma to Ruby Davis and Charlie Davis. She attended McLish School at Fittstown, Oklahoma. Doris married H.O. Griffin on June 11, 1965 and he passed away April 24, 2013. She then married Glen M. Bryan on March 15, 2014. Doris lived at Vamoosa, Oklahoma all of her married life.

She has one sister, Charlene Thompson of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; two nieces, Carla Kelley of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Cheryl Powell, of Coweta, Oklahoma; and one nephew, Mark Davis of Ada, Oklahoma. Doris was a member of the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. She taught school at Bowlegs school until retirement. She loved to travel and has seen most of the states in the U.S.A.

Doris leaves behind her husband Glen and stepchildren, Chris Bryan and family; Cathy Werner and family; along with her beloved step grandchildren and great grand children.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 9th, at 10:00 A.M. at Bowlegs Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
