Dora Jacks

Dora Laverne (Kean, Willoughby) Jacks was born on January 21, 1928 in McLean, Texas to Albert and Cora Kean. Dora was the oldest of 11 children and grew up in Seminole.

Dora passed away on October 11, 2024 at the age of 96 and was surrounded by her family.

Dora was retired from Tinker Air Force Base where she worked for many years. Dora was an avid seamstress, loved crafting, was a great cook and loved her Bible studies.

Dora married Doyle Willoughby on June 10, 1946. They were blessed with two daughters, Linda and Vicki.

Following Doyle’s death in 1965, Dora married Robert Jacks in 1972 and they were married until Robert’s death.

In 2020, Dora moved from Moore to Seminole where she resided until her death. She was a resident of Avonlea Cottage where she had many friends.

Dora was a member of the Heritage House and attended the Temple of Praise (PCG).

Dora is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, four brothers, one sister and a great granddaughter.

Dora is survived by her daughters, Linda Smith and Vicki Rhodes, both of Seminole; grandchildren, Angela Allensworth, Jacks

Rhonda Morgan, Ted Smith, Scott Blochowiak and Andy Blochowiak; seven great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; siblings, Eldon Kean of Shawnee, Sue LeMaster of Seminole, Carroll Don Kean of Mt. Vernon, MO, Glenda Roland of Davis, OK and Lonnie Kean of Seminole; several nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.

Dora loved her family, looked forward to Friday night family game nights where she was the Wahoo Queen. Dora loved the Lord.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Temple of Praise (PCG) located at 1100 N. University in Seminole, OK.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
