Dewayne Liebschwager

Dewayne Gerald Liebschwager passed away Thursday, February 11th, 2021 at his home in Wewoka at the age of 81 years.

Dewayne was born August 13th, 1939 in Sturgis, South Dakota to Howard and Alice Reede Liebschwager. Dewayne graduated from Sequoya High School in Redwood City, California.

Dewayne married Maria “Connie” Concepcion Mendiola December 10, 1965 in Redwood City, California. He worked as a roofer in California before moving to Oklahoma to buy his ranch. Dewayne worked many years for J6S ranches. He enjoyed ranching, milking cows and anything to do with livestock. Dewayne was a rodeo clown in his younger years. He loved his dogs very much.

Dewayne enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.

Dewayne is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Connie Liebschwager, daughter, Connie Justice, grandson, Nick Birchett, brother, Les Liebschwager and sister, Donna Bender.

Dewayne is survived by his children, Ryan and Devra Liebschwager of Seminole, Robert and Jerrylene Birchett of Tulsa, Jheri Glen Birchett of Yukon, Debra and Dale Reynolds of Idaho, Wendy Christianson of Oregon, eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, sister, Diane Elliott of Oregon and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 20, 2021 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Alfreado Gomez officiating.
