Delvin Roy Rogers was the last of 11 children born to William and Mary Rogers.
He was born on April 18, 1957 in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
Roy got his schooling from the Wewoka Public school system.
In 1974 Roy enlisted the US Marines Corp, stationed in San Diego, CA “Leatherneck” suited him. In 1978 he exited the Marine Corp, and moved to Pasadena, CA.
Roy had his own business while in Pasadena, Roy’s Heating and Air Conditioning.
On October 13, 2007 Roy wed his childhood sweetheart, Waunetta Washington of Wewoka.
Preceding Roy in death are his parents, 3 brothers Milton Brown, William Jr. and Jerry Rogers Sr., and sister Thelma Rogers Noble.
He leaves to cherish his wife Waunette of the home; 3 sons Tyrese Rogers, Tulsa, OK, LaQuan Rogers of Austin, TX, Delvin Roy Rogers Jr of Shawnee, OK; ten grandchildren. His sisters, Jewel Taylor of Dennison, TX, Wilma Carolina, Sharon Jones, Jennie V. Reed, Mae Mitchell, and Rose Rogers all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Graveside services for Delvin will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 21st, 2020 at Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
