David Leon Hill, longtime Seminole resident, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in Shawnee at the age of 78.

David was born February 23, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Fred Warren and Gola “Mae” (Williams) Hill. On December 16, 1967, he married Ronda Lou Ramsey in Warr Acres. They moved to Seminole in 1974 to raise their family.

David worked at several places in the Seminole area throughout the years including Green Light Auto, Halliburton, Hooten Oil, and eventually retiring from Cudd Energy Services. He loved watching any type of sport on TV, but his two favorites were the OU Sooners football team and the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was the best father to his children and the best PopPop to his grandchildren.

Preceding David in death were his parents, Fred and Gola Mae and his wife, Ronda on January 9, 2017.

David is survived by his son, Darby Hill, daughter, Stacy Renfro, both of Seminole; grandsons, Kaden and Kolby Renfro, of Seminole; brother, Fred (Donna) Hill, of Oklahoma City and a host of other family and friends.

The family would like to thank his home health nurse and physical therapist, Lori and Cari, for taking such great care of him and the staff of Avonlea Cottage in Seminole.

Memorial services for David will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Temple of Praise PCG, 1100 N. University St. in Seminole.

Services are under the direction of OK Cremation & Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
