Darwin Steward, 60 year old Davis, Oklahoma resident and former Maud, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Friday, December 13, 2019 in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
He was born March 1, 1959 in Nierenberg, Germany to parents Darvin Steward and Iva Maye (Wolfington) Steward.
Darwin graduated from Maud High School in 1977.
He worked for a number of years with his parents at the Steward Auction in Maud. He then opened his own business in Shawnee, Oklahoma on Hwy. 177, D&S Furniture Tours.
He was also a member of the Maud Masonic Lodge.
On December 20, 1985 Darwin married Charlotte Sue (Boone) Steward in Farwell, Texas. Sadly she preceded him in death after 34 years of marriage on March 8, 2019.
Survivors include his mother, Iva Steward of Meeker, Oklahoma; one sister, Peggy Phillips and her husband Tim of Meeker, Oklahoma; two nephews, Scotty Phillips and his wife Sarah of Meeker, Oklahoma and Tony Phillips and his wife Brittany of Meeker, Oklahoma.
Darwin was preceded in death by his father Darvin Steward, by his wife Charlotte Steward and by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Wanda and Frank Boone.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2020 at Gable Cemetery in Meeker, Oklahoma with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating the service.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
