Darlene Quinnett
Quinnett Darlene L. Quinnett, resident of Shawnee, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024. She was 76 years old. Darlene was born on August 22, 1948, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Harold and Louella (Scheidt) Quinnett. She worked as an Inventory Manager Specialist at Tinker Air Force Base for 36 years, retiring in 2004. In 1996 Darlene was awarded the 72nd Air Base Wing Civilian of the Year award for her outstanding performance at Tinker.
Darlene was one of the founding members of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Shawnee. She was very active in her church and loved her church family dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, Louise Scheidt, Marie Velma (Scheidt) Kottke, Edith Ann (Quinnett) Friedman, Jerrie Ann (Quinnett) Zeissin, uncles, David Eugene Quinnett and Nickless Quinnett and cousin, Chris Quinnett.
Survivors include her cousins, Annette Taulbee of Santa Maria, CA; Vivienne Friedman of Ashland, OR; Valisa Sunders and husband Ward of Oahu, HI; Brandon Friedman-Forest and wife Maureen of Davis, CA; Terrie Sue Mackle and husband Gene of Alma, AR, Ginger Bowen and husband Fary of Van Buren, AR; Cheri Grundmann and husband Bill of Tigard, OR; David Quinnett and wife Terena of Oklahoma City, OK; Paul Quinnett and wife Anna of Tomball, TX; Cindy Quinnett (husband Chris deceased) of Manford, OK; John Quinnett (wife Beverly deceased) of Edmond, OK; Deborah Dagger of Denver, CO; Daniel DeCiello of Oak Harbor, WA; Stephen DelCiello and wife Sandy of Lawton, OK; Marie Schoolahart and husband Alec of Lawton, OK; and Velma Barnard and husband Carl of Shawnee, OK.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Walker Funeral Service on Thursday, January 2 from 12-5 pm and on Friday, January 3 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm with family present to greet friends from 4-6 pm. A funeral ceremony for Darlene will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10:00 am at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Following the ceremony, Darlene will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee.
