Clifford Barnett

Clifford Lee Barnett, 69-year-old lifelong Seminole County, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Chickasaw Nation Medical Center in Ada, Oklahoma.  He was born October 28, 1949 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to his biological mother, Madeline (Harjo) Harrison and he was raised by Babe and Josie (Stout) Harjo.

Clifford married Mary Sue (Ben) Barnett in Antlers, Oklahoma.

Survivors include his wife Mary Sue Barnett of the home; one daughter Melanie Barnett and her husband Leon Bolden of Opelousas, Louisiana; 5 grandchildren, Megan Waddle, Nora Barnett, Mychal Barnett, Alexis Barnett and Leon Bolden “LJ” Bolden Jr.; 2 great grandchildren, Jamison Waddle, Brazelynn Bovard; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Clifford was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Martha Billy, by one son Vince Barnett, and by 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

A wake service is scheduled for Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2019 at Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa, Oklahoma with Bro. Kellos Walker and Bro. Frank Moppin officiating the service.  Interment will follow at the Harjo Family Cemetery in Sasakwa, Oklahoma.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
