Clairetha Davis

Clairetha Griffis Davis age 85, of Lima OK passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2022. She was born March 27, 1937 in rural Wewoka, OK to Hovert Griffis and Beubah (Elam) Griffis.

She attended Elwood and Lima Elementary, Douglas High School in Wewoka, and Langston University in Langston OK.

She worked for Seminole County Extension and Farmers Home Administration in Wewoka, OK. In 1967 she relocated to Los Angeles where she worked for the Department of Housing and Urban Development for 40 years.

Clairetha was preceded in death by her husband Everett Davis, her parents, six brothers, Elmor, Sylvester, Raymond, Johnell, Phislemon, and Eugene, two sisters, Joyce Ann Griffis and Mary Soloman.

She leaves to cherish her memory three sisters,

JoAnn Napolean of Midwest City, OK, Faye Edwards of Lima, OK, and Regina Griffis of Holdenville, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial service to be held at a later date.
