Christine (Harjo) Hotulke, Sapulpa resident, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024 in Tulsa at the age of 87. Christine was born on December 25, 1936 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Esloney and Leah Harjo. She grew up and spent her life in Seminole. She was a graduate of Prairie Valley High School.

Christine was a pitcher when she played softball. She was also a skilled pool player. She loved to dance. Most importantly she loved to be surrounded by her kids and grandkids. She treasured her family and friends.

Christine is survived by her two sons, Vernon Woods and Gary Hotulke; three daughters, Sherry Colbert and husband, Rev. Allan Colbert, Fawn Edwards and husband, Alvin Wing and Patricia Gibson and husband, Tommy Gibson; 21 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hotulke; son, Troy Dean Edwards; sisters, Mary West and JoAnn Harjo and brothers, Alex Larney and Tom Harjo (Jap).

Those serving as casket bearers will be Nicholas Burgess, Steve Welch, Tommy Gibson, Allan Colbert Jr., Larry Harjo Jr. and Matthew Welch. Honorary casket bearers will be Christon Welch, Rev. Allan Colbert and Ishmael Baker.

Viewing will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, August 16, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.

A wake will be Friday, August 16, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
