Carole Ruth Morgan
Carole Ruth Morgan, Seminole resident, passed away in Shawnee, Oklahoma on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at the age of 78. Ruth was born on June 24, 1943 in Okemah, Oklahoma to E.D. “Wiley” Clark and Georgia Thelma (Jacobs) Clark. She grew up in Okemah and moved to Seminole in 1969. Ruth married Jim Morgan on June 27, 1959 in Okemah and enjoyed almost 63 years with her beloved husband. Before her retirement, she was the office manager and co-owner of Tiger Trucks, Inc. in Seminole alongside her husband, running the family owned business with their sons.
Ruth loved animals of all kinds, mostly horses and dogs! She would take any opportunity to adopt a pet no matter the need. She enjoyed trail riding with her daughter-in-law, Pam and her friends. She treasured time spent with her kids and grandkids at the lake. Ruth loved antique shopping and had an eye for fine glassware. Another joy she had was traveling with the love of her life, her husband, Jim. She enjoyed going anywhere and took every opportunity to take a trip with friends to visit other countries. Ruth loved to take long rides with the top down in her little red Mustang.
Ruth is survived by her two sons, Curtis Morgan and wife, Pam of Seminole and Cary Morgan and wife, Shannon of Seminole; daughter, Carole O’Daniel and husband, Kevin of Seminole; 10 grandchildren and their spouses, KC and Angela Yott, Chase and Stacey Yott, Tyler and Lindsey Morgan, Jessie and Eric Shepherd, Taryn Morgan, Callie Crabtree, Turner Morgan, Dondi and Ben Fox, Megan and John Coffman and Damien O’Daniel; 19 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jimmie D. Morgan; parents, E.D. “Wiley” and Georgia Thelma (Jacobs) Clark and brothers, Jack Clark and Dale Clark.
Those serving as casket bearers will be her grandsons and Loyd Davis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmie Morgan Family Scholarship Fund c/o The Seminole State College Educational Foundation at PO Box 351, Seminole, OK 74818.
Viewing will be Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Little Cemetery with Rev. Doyle Long officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
