Carol “Elaine Susie “Black Eck, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, May 21, 2020 in Shawnee, OK at the age of 75.
She was born February 3, 1945 in Wewoka, OK to the late James Ralph Gleason and Lucy Mae Chapman Gleason.
She was a graduate of Wewoka High School, Seminole State University and East Central University.
She worked as a case worker for Oakcrest Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma until 1995.
Elaine married Albert Black in 1974 and he preceded her in death in 2007.
She married Alan Eck on December 5, 2009 in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
Preceding Elaine in death are her parents, first husband Albert Black, sisters Joy Lou Gleason, Dovie Myers, and Edna Hilterbran brothers Roy Gleason, and Melvin Gleason and stepson Don Black.
Survivors include husband Alan Eck of the home, two sons Mark A. Black, Michael W. Black, of Wewoka, OK, daughter Angela K. of Norman, OK, step-sons Dennis Black, of Parkville, Missouri , John Black of Kapolei, Hawaii, Stephen Eck of Edmond, John Alan Eck of Ada. Jeremy Eck of Ada,, step-daughter Pam Macey of Overland, Kansas; and 28 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Funeral service scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel with Arpoika Daniels officiating and burial at Oakwood Cemetery.
Due to Covid-19 services allow a group of 50 or fewer.
