Billie Minihan

Billie Ann (Curry) Minihan, 85, former Seminole resident, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Billie was born on October 29, 1933 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Tony Curry and Pearl Mattenlea (Hardin) Curry.

Billie graduated from Seminole High School in 1951 and she received an associate degree from Oklahoma A & M (now Oklahoma State University) in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority.

Billie was a member of the Methodist Church and active in United Methodist Women. She also volunteered at the Shawnee Senior Center and many other organizations.

Billie married, Thomas J. Minihan in 1955, they had one son Thomas Michael Minihan, and sadly both are now deceased. As a family, they lived in Corpus Christi, Texas, Buffalo Gap, Texas and Houston, Texas.

Billie worked for Honeywell Corporation for 20 years and upon her retirement, Billie and Thomas Michael moved back to Seminole. In 2008 she moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Billie is survived by her sisters; Norma June Nease of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mary Lee Crenshaw and her husband Fred of Seminole, Oklahoma and Toni Lynn Lee and her husband Gary of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one nephew ; RB Bruce of Austin, Texas, three nieces Amy Lynn Starcher of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Stephanie Jackson of Lacey, Washington and Stacy Ezell of Edmond, Oklahoma; four great nephews and four great nieces and her good friend Jessie Tecumseh and many other family members.

Cremation memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday September 12, 2019 at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, East of Seminole, Oklahoma on Highway # 270, with Rev. Mark Watson, of the First United Methodist Church in Seminole, officiating.

Memorial arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
