Betty Ann Kean, 88, lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life to her reward in Heaven on, Friday, December 18, 2020 in Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Betty was born on July 1, 1932 to James E. Morrison, Sr., and Alta Mae (Hunt) Morrison in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Betty was a homemaker and took care of her family very well. She was a selfless person, always putting others before herself.

The family will remember her as the strongest person they knew, her faith and trust in Jesus and how she loved to read her Bible.

She loved to cook for her children and grandchildren. She also loved to quilt, sew and crochet. The family remembers that she made the best apricot pies, her fried fish was the best and could grow anything in her garden, but her favorite was her Iris flowers.

Betty was a longtime member of the Twin Oak Baptist Church, north of Seminole.

Betty married Eldon D. Kean on July 21, 1953 in Gainesville, Texas and they enjoyed 67 years of marriage together.

Betty is survived by her loving husband Eldon D. Kean of the home in Seminole, Oklahoma, two sons; Ronnie Kean of Okemah, Oklahoma, Steve Kean and his wife Tina of Seminole, Oklahoma, three daughters: Sharon McCoy and her husband Eldon of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Wanda Radford and her husband Jim of Seminole, Oklahoma and Patsy Dodd and her husband Dale of Whitesboro, Texas, her sister Carolyn Haworth of Seminole, Oklahoma and two sisters-in-law, April Morrison and Maudie Morrison both of Seminole, Oklahoma, fifteen grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and four great, great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents; James and Alta May Morrison, her grandson; Clayton Kean, brothers, James, Fred and Richard Morrison, her sisters Elizabeth Marquis and Cora Hunt.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Highway Baptist Church, North of Seminole, Oklahoma, with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.

Betty’s grandsons will be casket bearers at her funeral.

Public viewing will begin on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 1:30 to 5:00 P.M. and Monday, from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. The family requests that at the funeral service, masks be worn and to please social distance from each other.

Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
