Betty Harjo

Betty Jean (Factor) Harjo, 87, longtime Konawa, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Betty was born on June 23, 1933 in Konawa, Oklahoma to Timmie Ray Factor and Susie Mae (Cummings) Factor.

Betty grew up in Konawa and attended Konawa Public Schools and graduated from Konawa High School.

Betty was a proud member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.

Betty was a teacher’s aide at Bowlegs Public Schools for many years.

Betty is survived by one son; Dale Jesse of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, two daughters; Deanna Jesse of Tecumseh, Oklahoma and Denise Johnson of Okemah, Oklahoma, her brother; Timmie Factor Jr. of Shawnee, Oklahoma, her sister; Francine Johnson, six grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her granddaughter; Brigid Davis Payne in 2014, her sister Vera Mae Harjo, her brother Glenn Factor and Edward Factor.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
