Bert McDowell

Bert Gene McDowell, age 62 departed this life on Thursday September 10, 2020 at his home.

He was born in Shawnee, OK July 8, 1958 to the late Orvelle Gene McDowell and Beatrice McCoy McDowell.

He was a graduate of Wewoka High School.

He was employed by Cook Oil Company as a roustabout.

Bert’s hobbies were going to the lake, fishing eating mexican corn bread, dancing and watching western movies. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Preceding Bert in death are his parents and brother Ricky McDowell.

Pall bearers will be Steve Boots, Kelly Cook, Quinton McDowell, Bobby Wieck, Simmy White, Guy Tucker and Steve Bollinger.

Those left to cherish his memories are three children Misty Isaacs and husband T of Choctaw, OK, August Hicks and husband Dustin of Rapid City, South Dakota, Jett McDowell and wife Elizabeth of Wewoka, OK, grandchildren Daxton Isaacs, Addison Isaacs, Easton Isaacs, and PJ McDowell, one nephew Quinton McDowell and a host other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be 10:00 AM Saturday September 12, 2020 at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Azlin officiating.

Viewing will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, September 11, 2020 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
