Andrea Larney
Seminole resident, Andrea Lynn Larney, 59, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024, in Shawnee.
Andrea, the daughter of James Wisdom and Elizabeth (Adair) Jones, was born September 7, 1965, in Wewoka. She graduated from Wewoka High School with the class of 1983. Andrea continued her education throughout her life, she took classes at Seminole State College as well as Gordon Cooper Vo-tech. Always helping people, she worked in a daycare, but ultimately worked as an aid with hospice. On March 9, 2003, she married Thomas George Larney Jr., at the Wewoka New Life Church. Andrea loved family time, she also enjoyed fishing, cooking, traveling, meeting new people, singing and learning how to bead. She was a strong woman of faith, and loved traveling for the Lord. She was always smiling and laughing. You could rarely catch her at home, because she was always on the go. When people were down and out, Andrea was always there to pray for them. She gave words of wisdom through the Lord, and she was a loving, caring, wonderful mom, who was always praying for her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth; a sister, Natalie Wisdom; and a great-grandson, Zepplin Catron.
Andrea is survived by her husband, Thomas Larney Jr.; three sons, Matthew Catron, of Pontotoc, OK., Tyler Larney, Larney
of Seminole, and Trentin Larney, of Seminole; two daughters, Veronica Catron, of Seminole, and Tishina Larney, of Seminole; four grandchildren, Jurnee Catron, Jericho Catron, Malakai Ripley, and Maleena Johnson; two brothers, Ronnie Jones Jr., of Tahlequah, and Benny Culberson, of Wewoka; two sisters, Delilah Pacheco, of Tahlequah, and Samantha Wisdom, of Ada; along with many other family members and friends.
Casket bearers will be Tyler Larney, Thomas Larney Jr., Joe Johnson, Josh Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Tishina Larney, Tom Culberson, and Cedrick Scott.
There will be a wake service Thursday, November 7, 2024, starting at 6:00 P.M. at the Wewoka Indian Baptist Church.
Services will be Friday, November 8, at 2:00 P.M. at the Wewoka Indian Baptist Church, with interment to follow at the Hitchitee Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
