The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission’s (OESC) latest employment report, released March 13, shows the preliminary statistics for January, 2024. According to this report, Seminole County had the third highest rate of unemployment in the state, which was a slight improvement from the previous report in which Seminole held the second highest unemployment rate.

The full Senate deliberated on more than 100 bills last week, sending most of those pieces of legislation to the House. On Thursday, my Senate colleagues and I were voting on bills at the Capitol until just after 10 p.m. to ensure more than 70 pieces of legislation advanced before the midnight deadline.
