The site used unemployment claims from the most recently available data on May 25 for all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and overall since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic on March 16. This data was used to rank states for both periods of time.

The program requires teens between the ages of 13 and 18 to read one chapter-book during the first three weeks of June in order to be recognized at an awards ceremony taking place at the end of the month. The grand prize winner at this ceremony will be presented with a Walmart gift card, donated by the store.

Infant Crisis Services provides free baby supplies for those that need them in a mobile formula, food and diaper pantry called the BabyMobile. It will be parked on the SSC campus at 2701 Boren Boulevard in Seminole from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
