On Wednesday, September 17th, the students were reunited with Einstein, a five-foot-long ball python that they hatched in the fourth grade with Mrs. Powers and Mrs. Shockley. Principal Shockley and Tim and Shirley Powell brought Einstein to Ms. Kelly's room for the surprise reunion.

Students will not attend school this Friday, but they will be required to login to their Zoom and/or Google Meets meetings and complete assignments. If a class does not have a face to face meeting, students will still need to log into that class and complete their assignments. Any student that does not call in to his/ her Zoom or Google Meets meeting will be counted absent. Any student that does not complete their assign ment(s) in Google Classroom that day will be counted absent. All Varnum students have been issued chrome books and those who need internet hotspots have been issued hotspots. The graph below depicts the Virtual Friday schedule.

There will be medals given for 11 different age categories and the age categories range from five and under to 70 and up. The entry fee is $20 and will include an event t-shirt.
