Read moreOn Friday, October 30th, 2020, Major Vigil received a call on a burglary in progress on North Wewoka Street. Major Vigil, Chief Barkhimer, and Sergeant Kelley responded to that area. The person that called in the report stated there was video surveillance showing a male trying to forcefully enter into a building. During the investigation, Chief Barkhimer and Sergeant Kelley were able to locate a person matching the description which led officers to a house located in the 700 block of South Wewoka Street.

After speaking with the health department, they have been advised to switch to distance education for 14 days. That would make the return date on November 18. The school is scheduled for Thanksgiving break starting on November 20. For these reasons the school will start virtual learning today, November 3, and then return to in-person learning on Monday, November 30, 2020.
