Read moreAs the summer winds down, legislative business has resumed at the state Capitol. The Senate is beginning to hold interim studies, which my colleagues and I host to explore a diverse range of policy issues. Hearing testimony from local and national subject- matter experts during these studies helps us as we consider what legislation to file for the upcoming legislative session. This fall, I will lead an interim study examining how to improve the Department of Transportation’s relationships with contractors and engineering groups to be more efficient and transparent while better utilizing your tax dollars.
